Part I    FUNCTIONS

What are some necessary functions for an e-education website?
Sometimes, people tend to think about some functions that are so complex that they even make users confused. Actually, some functions are very easy to do, but are not built by many websites. I think the best functions are built by a considerate mind instead of complex functionality.

1. Have a Search Engine
If you have many courses or topics, it's very important for you to create a search engine for your users. You can also create a search function for users to not only search your courses or topics, but also create a full-text search for users finding some related information.

2. Update Your Page
Don't think it's nothing! Some users might leave or never login again because they can't see the update in your web. Since you are regularly updating your page, why don't you put your update to increase your credibility.

3. Put an introduction on the First Page
Don't assume that all users will know the main idea of your site! No matter how good your design for your page is, it's very important for your user know about your service very directly and clearly.

4. Put News on first page instead of in other level
When you put news, means you want to catch users eyes, and make sure your users have the highest probability to read it. Of course, the best place is the first page; otherwise, your users might not even get in to your other pages.

5. Put a feedback form for your users
Feedback is a bridge between your website and your users. If you don't have a feedback form, you will lose the chance to hear a lot of opinions and needs of your users which means you will lose a lot of profits.

6. Use Sitemap to make it easy
If your website is kind of complex, it's very necessary to make a sitemap. It can help your users find the direction more quickly.
